The history of Spedition Ebeling from the small freight carrier business to the international logistic and transport company is an exemplary history of success.
In 1928 the farmer Georg Ebeling of Mellendorf near Hanover was assigned freight carrier by the German Railways and transported milk with horse and cart to the local dairy. Then the transport company Ebeling came into being
The evolution of the company steadily progressed. After the 2nd World-War the forwarding agency activities have continuously been extended.
In 1968 Georg Ebeling, son of the company’s founder and second generation took over after the founder’s death. The fleet consisted of five vehicles. In 1970 the fleet number had grown to ten vehicles.
In 1982 Ebeling expanded with two branches in Munster and Bitburg. |

In 1986 a close-coupled trailer charging 37 Euro pallets came into use for the first time.
In 1988 Georg Ebeling jun., the third family generation, joined the company.
During the 90ies an evolution process of unique dynamic followed. The premises were extended, the number vehicles increased and technical innovations were incorporated into the sequences of operations.
Today: The former regional one-man-firm with horse and cart became an international company with more than 300 employees and about 200 trucks, which offers superior logistic services to well-known customers all over Europe.
In 2008 the company bought 150,000 sq.m surrounding fields and forests. On 38,000 sq.m new commercial buildings and warehouses will be constructed. The remaining 112,000 sq.m are ecological compensation area. And, the customers may rely on Spedition Ebeling: The history of success will continue in the future! |
